
On Tuesday, under the influence of an anticyclone, skies will be clear in the western part of Latvia, while clouds will occasionally cover the eastern regions, according to the Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre.
No precipitation is expected. In central and eastern parts of the country, northwesterly to westerly winds will gust up to 15–16 m/s. Air temperatures will rise to +19…+24°C, though as usual, areas along the Gulf of Riga coast will be a degree or so cooler.
Wednesday and Thursday will be the warmest days of the week.
Skies will be mostly clear with only a few clouds, and short showers are expected only on Thursday afternoon. Winds will calm and shift from the south on Thursday. Daytime temperatures will climb to +25…+30°C, while in coastal areas it will remain a bit cooler at +20…+26°C.
By the weekend, the heat will subside, with maximum temperatures ranging between +16 and +25°C. Sunshine is expected in many areas during the day, with only occasional light rain in some regions.
