
Although rain is still expected in many places at the end of the week, precipitation will cease at the beginning of the new week and the weather will become drier, according to the Latvian Center for Environment, Geology and Meteorology.
On Friday, the 8th of August, the sky will be cloudy. At night, in places, but during the day, short-term rain is expected in many places, locally heavy rain, and thunderstorms are possible. The wind will blow slowly to moderately from the south. At night, the air temperature will remain within +10…+15 degrees, only on the coast it will be a couple of degrees warmer. During the day, the air temperature will rise to +18…+22 degrees.
On Saturday, the sun will mix with clouds. At the beginning of the night, rain is expected in places, but in the eastern regions, heavy rain and thunderstorms are also expected, but the day will be dry and precipitation is not expected.
With a slow wind, fog will form in many places in the country at night and in the morning, which will worsen visibility. At night, the air will cool down to +9…+15 degrees, but during the day it will warm up to +22…+26 degrees.
On Sunday, the weather will be cloudy, with only some areas clearing up.
During the day, rain is expected in most of the country, possibly thunderstorms. A slow to moderate southerly wind will blow, which will turn from the west starting in the forenoon. At night, the thermometer will drop to +11…+17 degrees, while during the day the air temperature will rise to +18…+21 degrees.
At the beginning of the new week, precipitation will cease, and although rain is still expected in many places in the east on Monday, the amount of precipitation will decrease in the following days and light rain will be expected only in places. The air temperature will remain within similar limits as before.
