
On Thursday, clouds will occasionally cover the sky, but no significant rainfall is expected, with light winds blowing. As a warmer air mass flows in, maximum air temperatures today will reach +18…+23°C, according to the Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre.
On Friday, cloud cover will increase, and during the day short periods of rain are expected mainly in western and central regions, as well as in Vidzeme, with local thunderstorms possible. Winds will be light to moderate from the east, gradually shifting to the south during the day.
With warmer air moving into Latvia, nights will no longer be as chilly as before – temperatures will fall to +11…+18°C. Daytime temperatures will rise to +19…+24°C, and in some southeastern regions even up to +26°C.
Over the weekend, sunshine will alternate with clouds, and most of the country will experience rain, with rumbles of thunder possible in some areas. Winds will ease and remain light. Nighttime temperatures will stay within +14…+18°C, while daytime temperatures will reach +22…+25°C, slightly cooler along the coast. The beginning of September is also likely to remain warm.
