
On Tuesday, skies will be partly cloudy with occasional showers in the eastern part of the country. A light to moderate west, northwesterly wind will blow, reaching gusts of up to 15 m/s along the coast. Daytime temperatures will rise to +13…+17°C, though mornings will feel chilly, according to the Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre.
On Wednesday, sunshine will alternate with clouds, with showers mainly expected in central and eastern regions. Heavy downpours and thunderstorms are possible in places. Winds will be light, but along the coast light to moderate from the north, with gusts of 15–19 m/s during storms, and up to 21 m/s along the Gulf of Riga. Overnight temperatures will drop to +2…+7°C, with ground frost of 0…-1°C, while coastal areas will stay milder at +8…+12°C. Daytime temperatures will only reach +10…+14°C.
Thursday will bring variable cloud cover. Rain is expected early in the night in western and central regions, but the day will remain dry. With light winds, fog may form in eastern areas overnight, reducing visibility. Minimum temperatures will be 0…+5°C with frost likely, while the coast will be slightly warmer.
Daytime highs will reach +12…+15°C.
By the end of the week, the centre of an anticyclone will settle over Latvia, bringing drier and sunnier conditions. Temperatures will remain similar to previous days, with nighttime lows of +2…+7°C and ground frost in many areas, except the coast, and daytime highs staying below +17°C. Similar weather is expected at the start of next week.
