
On Thursday and Friday, skies over Latvia will feature variable cloudiness with no significant precipitation, according to the Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre. Winds will be light.
Fog will form in some areas overnight into Friday and in the early morning, reducing visibility. Nighttime temperatures will drop to -2…+4°C, while coastal areas will stay milder at +5…+8°C. Daytime highs will range from +9 to +13°C.
Over the weekend, the influence of the anticyclone will gradually weaken. On Saturday, light rain is possible in the eastern regions, while on Sunday a rain front will bring precipitation to most of the country. Winds from the south will strengthen near the coast, becoming gusty.
Saturday night temperatures will still hover around 0°C in places,
but Sunday night will be a few degrees warmer. Daytime highs over the weekend will not exceed +14°C.
Next week will be dominated by an active cyclone, bringing autumn weather across Latvia. Widespread rain, at times heavier, is expected as large rain zones cross the country. Early in the week, most regions will also see windy conditions. Nighttime temperatures will remain above +5°C, with daytime values similar to recent levels.
