On Thursday night, skies will be partly cloudy, while during the day they will gradually clear and sunshine will appear, according to the Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre.
At night, light snow and wet snow are expected in some eastern areas, while the day will pass without precipitation across the country. A light to moderate west to north-west wind will blow. During the night, temperatures will drop to –2…+2°C, while during the day they will rise to +3…+7°C, reaching +9°C in some western areas.
On Friday and Saturday, cloud cover will increase, but despite this, no precipitation is expected. Light to moderate south-westerly and westerly winds will persist. In some areas, fog may form at times, which could reduce visibility.
During the night, temperatures will fall to 0…–5°C, while daytime temperatures will warm to +4…+9°C,
with slightly cooler conditions expected in south-eastern regions and in some coastal areas.
Starting Sunday, a warmer air mass will move into Latvia, and atmospheric pressure will increase. As a result, the weather will become warmer with fewer clouds in the sky. Winds will remain light. During the nights, slight frost is still possible in eastern parts of the country, but during the day temperatures will mostly rise above +5°C, and in some places, with bright sunshine, they may even exceed +10°C.
