Latvia’s Foreign Minister Baiba Braže received 108,644 euros in salary from the State Chancellery last year, according to her official asset declaration.
The declaration states that the Foreign Minister owns an apartment in Riga and another property in Engure parish. She also owns a 2021 Fiat 500X vehicle. In addition, Braže has declared financial instruments worth 117,203 euros.
Braže, who also served as Vice-President of the Latvian National Commission for UNESCO last year, held 121.59 euros in non-cash funds in the Netherlands-based ABN AMRO Bank N.V. and 26,825 euros in Swedbank.
In addition to her salary, the Foreign Minister received 3,545 euros in interest income from the State Treasury. She also declared 10,365 euros in income from the sale of property and a further 10,190 euros from the sale of another asset.
Other income declared includes 216.50 euros from Compensa Life Vienna Insurance Group SE (Latvian branch) and 242 euros from The Economist Newspaper Limited.
Last year, Braže redeemed Latvian government savings bonds worth 105,000 euros, purchased new savings bonds for 65,000 euros, and invested a total of 40,000 euros in two investment funds.
