Weather conditions across Latvia will gradually improve on Tuesday and Wednesday—sunshine will appear between clouds in some areas, precipitation will decrease, and winds will gradually subside, according to the Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre.
On Tuesday night, precipitation is still expected in eastern regions—rain and sleet. At the beginning of the night, isolated thunderstorms are also possible. By Wednesday, however, no precipitation is expected.
A moderate to moderately strong northwesterly to northerly wind will blow, with gusts reaching 15–17 m/s on Tuesday in western and central regions, and early Wednesday along the coast. Nighttime temperatures will drop to between −2 and +2°C, while coastal areas will remain slightly warmer at +2 to +4°C. Daytime temperatures will range from +6 to +11°C.
During the night into Thursday, cloud cover will gradually increase from the north, clearing only in western regions later in the afternoon.
From the second half of the night, light precipitation is expected in many areas
—mainly rain and sleet. Winds will ease significantly, becoming light to moderate from the west. Overnight temperatures in many areas will fall to 0 to −2°C, while coastal regions will remain milder at +1 to +4°C. During the day, temperatures will rise to +7 to +12°C, though slightly cooler conditions are expected in the east, with temperatures between +5 and +7°C.
The Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre indicates that an anticyclone will dominate weather conditions toward the end of the week, bringing further improvement—winds will be light, cloud cover will decrease, and sunshine will become more frequent. Over the weekend, warm and mostly dry weather is expected. Nighttime temperatures will fall to +5 to +10°C, while daytime temperatures will climb to around +20°C.
