On Monday, skies will be partly cloudy. In some eastern parts of the country, light rain and sleet are expected, and during the day thunderstorms are also possible in those areas, according to the Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre.
A moderate to moderately strong northwesterly to westerly wind will blow, with gusts reaching 15–19 m/s. Overnight temperatures will drop to between −1 and +4°C, while daytime temperatures will rise to +5 to +10°C.
On Tuesday and Wednesday, weather conditions across the country will gradually improve—sunshine will appear between clouds in some places, precipitation will decrease, and winds will begin to subside.
On Tuesday night, precipitation is still expected in eastern regions—sleet and snow—while on Wednesday morning light rain is possible in the east.
Winds will remain gusty on Tuesday but will gradually weaken, becoming light by Wednesday.
Nighttime temperatures will fall to between −3 and +2°C, while coastal areas will remain slightly warmer at +2 to +4°C. Daytime temperatures will range from +4 to +9°C.
In the second half of the week, weather conditions in Latvia will be influenced by a high-pressure system, bringing further improvement—winds will be light, cloud cover will decrease, and sunshine will become more frequent. Over the weekend, warm and mostly dry weather is expected. Nighttime temperatures will drop to +2 to +7°C, while daytime temperatures will climb above +20°C.
