On Wednesday, the 13th of May, skies across Latvia will remain mostly cloudy. Rain is expected at times during the night and early morning in many areas, while during the afternoon rainfall will mainly affect eastern regions, according to the Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre.
Thunderstorms are possible in some places.
Light to moderate winds will blow, and during the night fog may thicken in some coastal areas, reducing visibility. Air temperatures throughout the 24-hour period will remain relatively stable — ranging from +7°C to +12°C in Kurzeme and between +10°C and +14°C across most of the country.
Thursday will also remain cloudy, although skies are expected to become partly cloudy from the second half of the night onward.
Rain is expected in some areas overnight, while from midday precipitation is forecast in many western regions.
Thunderstorms are also possible.
Winds will remain light to moderate, although sharp wind gusts may occur locally during thunderstorms.
Over the weekend and at the beginning of next week, temperatures are expected to remain similar to those seen in midweek, with daytime temperatures in many places reaching up to +20°C.
Rain clouds will continue moving across Latvia, mainly affecting eastern regions next week. Thunderstorms may also develop in some areas.
