Light rain is expected in some eastern regions on Wednesday night and again during the second half of the day, while isolated thunderstorms are also possible overnight, according to the Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre.
With light winds prevailing, fog will form in some areas during the night and may persist throughout the day in certain coastal regions. Overnight temperatures will fall to between +7°C and +12°C, while daytime highs will range from +16°C to +21°C, with cooler conditions along the coast at +11°C to +16°C.
On Thursday and Friday, weather conditions will remain mostly cloudy, although occasional clear spells are expected. Rain is forecast in eastern parts of the country on Thursday, gradually spreading westward during the afternoon. Isolated thunderstorms are possible, along with heavy showers in central regions during the day. On Friday, rain will continue across most of the country.
Fog is expected in some areas during the nights and mornings,
with visibility significantly deteriorating in certain regions, especially along the coast. Winds will remain light. Temperatures on Thursday night will drop to between +6°C and +11°C, while Friday night is expected to be a few degrees warmer. Daytime temperatures will generally reach between +15°C and +20°C, though coastal areas will remain cooler, with temperatures between +11°C and +16°C.
Weather conditions are expected to remain similar over the weekend and into the beginning of next week. Light winds will persist, and Latvia will continue to experience passing precipitation zones. Temperatures are also expected to stay within a similar range, with nighttime lows mostly between +7°C and +11°C, while daytime temperatures in some areas may rise to around +20°C.
