On Tuesday night, the sky will be partly cloudy. During the day, clouds will gradually disperse, but from the afternoon cloud cover will increase again, according to the Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre.
At night, brief rain is expected in some eastern areas, while the day will pass without significant precipitation. A light to moderate southerly wind will blow. Overnight, temperatures will drop to +7°C…+12°C, and in Kurzeme even lower, down to +4°C…+7°C. During the day, air temperatures will rise to +17°C…+22°C, while along the coast it will be slightly cooler at +11°C…+16°C.
On Wednesday and Thursday, the sky will be mostly cloudy with occasional clear spells. Rain is expected in many areas, and thunderstorms are possible during the first half of the night. On Wednesday night, fog may form in some western regions. Winds will be light on Wednesday and light to moderate from the north on Thursday.
On Wednesday night, temperatures will drop to +1°C…+6°C,
while in many eastern areas +7°C…+11°C; during the day, temperatures will rise to +12°C…+17°C, and in some coastal areas +9°C…+11°C. On Thursday night, temperatures will fall to +4°C…+9°C, while daytime temperatures will reach +8°C…+13°C.
In the second half of the week, the influence of an anticyclone will strengthen, resulting in less precipitation and more frequent sunshine. Air temperatures, both during the day and at night, will remain within similar ranges as in the middle of the week.
