On Friday, clouds will partially cover the sky, and during the first half of the night, light rain is expected in the eastern part of the country, possibly accompanied by isolated thunderstorms.
A light to moderate west to northwest wind will blow, with gusts reaching up to 15 m/s in the northeast. Nighttime temperatures will drop to +12…+15°C, while daytime temperatures will rise to +19…+24°C, but only +16…+18°C in coastal areas, according to the Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre.
Over the weekend, clouds will dominate the sky and rain is expected throughout the country. However, there will also be occasional sunshine breaking through the clouds. A light to moderate southwest to south wind will blow, with gusts reaching 15–16 m/s on Saturday. The night leading into Saturday will be slightly cooler than before – temperatures will fall to +9…+12°C, while along the coast and during the night to Sunday, it will remain milder at +12…+16°C. Daytime temperatures will rise to +16…+21°C, and on Sunday, some areas may reach up to +23°C.
At the start of the new workweek, similar weather is expected – cyclones will dominate,
bringing frequent rain with occasional sunny spells. The wind will ease, and it will be moderately warm, with maximum temperatures ranging from +18…+22°C. In places where the sky clears, temperatures could reach up to +26°C, while it will remain slightly cooler near the coast.
There is a possibility that atmospheric pressure will increase in the second half of the week, which could lead to fewer rain clouds and gradually warmer weather, notes the Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre.
