Monday will be grey and dull. During the night, rain is expected in the central and eastern regions, while during the day, occasional light rain and drizzle will affect most of the country. With light winds blowing, fog will form in some areas overnight and in the morning, reducing visibility.
The minimum air temperature at night will be +6…+9°C, while during the day temperatures will rise to +7…+11°C, according to the Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre.
On Tuesday, the sky will be cloudy, although it will clear up in some places. Some areas will see light rain, with the heaviest rainfall expected during the night in the eastern part of the country. During the night and morning hours, fog will form in some places, mainly in the east, while in the afternoon it may develop in the west of the country. A light to moderate southwesterly and westerly wind will blow, gradually shifting from the south and southwest from the middle of the night. Starting in the morning, gusty winds are expected along the coast. Night-time temperatures will drop to +5…+10°C, while during the day temperatures will reach +8…+12°C.
Wednesday will be mostly cloudy, but the skies will clear in some places during the day.
Only isolated areas will see light rain. Overnight, fog will form in some regions, reducing visibility. A light to moderate southerly and southwesterly wind will blow. At night, temperatures will fall to +6…+11°C, but in the southeast it will be a few degrees cooler, with a minimum of +4…+6°C. During daylight hours, temperatures will rise to +10…+13°C.
In the second half of the week, the weather will become less rainy – as the influence of a high-pressure system strengthens, only isolated places may see light rain. During the daytime, temperatures will continue to exceed +10°C, but nights will be a few degrees cooler compared to the beginning of the week.
