On Tuesday, skies will remain cloudy, though the sun will appear in some areas. At night, temperatures will drop to +1…-2°C, and where skies clear — mainly in western regions — temperatures may fall further to -3…-7°C. Snow is expected in parts of eastern Latvia. In the evening, rain and sleet are forecast in some central and eastern areas, according to the Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre.
During the day, temperatures will rise to +2…+7°C. Winds will be light to moderate, gradually turning from the southwest. Fog may form overnight and in the morning in some western areas, reducing visibility.
On Wednesday, skies will be cloudy, gradually clearing from the west during the night. Light precipitation is expected in some areas — rain in central regions and snow or sleet in the east. A light to moderate southwesterly to southerly wind will persist, with fog forming in places overnight and in the morning. Coastal areas will experience gusty winds at the beginning of the night. From the second half of the night, winds will gradually shift from the west.
Nighttime temperatures will range from +2…-3°C, while daytime temperatures will rise to +3…+6°C.
On Thursday, there will be variable cloud cover and no significant precipitation is expected. A light to moderate westerly to northwesterly wind will blow at night, becoming gusty in the first half of the night, while daytime winds will be light. Temperatures will drop to +2…-3°C at night and climb to +2…+7°C during the day.
Towards the end of the week, the influence of an anticyclone will strengthen — gusty winds will subside, no significant precipitation is expected, and skies will clear more frequently. Daytime temperatures in some areas may rise to +5…+10°C. However, at night, as skies clear and the air cools rapidly, temperatures may drop locally to -4…-8°C.
