Nighttime temperatures will drop to +2…-3°C, while daytime temperatures will rise to +2…+7°C, according to the Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre.
On Thursday, skies will be partly cloudy. During the night and morning, some eastern regions may see light precipitation in the form of snow and sleet. A light to moderate westerly to northwesterly wind will blow at night, becoming gusty along the coast, while daytime winds will be light. Fog may form in some areas in the morning and evening. Nighttime temperatures will fall to +1…-2°C, and daytime temperatures will climb to +3…+8°C.
On Friday, variable cloud cover will persist, but no precipitation is expected. Winds will be light, strengthening from the southwest and south in the afternoon. Fog will form in some areas at night and in the morning.
Minimum nighttime temperatures will range between 0…-5°C, dropping as low as -5…-9°C in eastern regions.
During the day, temperatures will rise to +4…+9°C, though southeastern areas will be slightly cooler at +1…+4°C.
Over the weekend and at the beginning of next week, the influence of an anticyclone is expected. Gusty winds will subside, no precipitation is forecast, and skies will clear more frequently. Daytime temperatures in some areas may reach +5…+10°C. However, at night, when skies clear and the air cools rapidly, temperatures may drop to -3…-7°C in some places.
