The Food and Veterinary Service has suspended the operations of five public catering establishments over the past two months due to violations of hygiene requirements, the authority reported.
From the 26th of January to the 23rd of March, 2026, the Food and Veterinary Service, in cooperation with the State Revenue Service and the State Labour Inspectorate, carried out 30 inspections of food businesses engaged in public catering, including the preparation of kebabs, pizza baking and Chinese cuisine.
The authority indicated that one of the suspended businesses has already eliminated the identified violations and has therefore resumed operations, while the activities of four businesses remain suspended.
The Food and Veterinary Service is a state administrative institution under the supervision of the Ministry of Agriculture, responsible for state supervision and control in the fields of food circulation and veterinary medicine.
