Sunny and dry weather is expected on Monday and Tuesday, according to the Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre. A light to moderate south to south-westerly wind will blow.
During the night leading into Monday, temperatures across most of Latvia will drop to 0…–5°C, while along the coast it will remain slightly warmer at 0…+2°C. On Tuesday night, temperatures will range from –2…+2°C. During the day, with bright sunshine, the air will warm to +8…+13°C, although in some parts of Latgale and along the coast temperatures will reach +6…+9°C.
Wednesday night will be mostly clear, while from the morning hours cloud cover will gradually increase from the west.
Despite the clouds, the weather will remain dry. Winds will stay light from the south. Night-time temperatures will range between –1…+2°C, while daytime temperatures will reach +6…+11°C, with coastal areas remaining slightly cooler.
In the second half of the week, conditions will change little – sunshine will alternate with clouds and significant precipitation is not expected. Temperatures will remain above zero both during the night and the day.
By the weekend, a warmer air mass will move into Latvia, and there is a possibility that in some places the thermometer could reach +15°C.
