Clouds will bring light rain to some parts of Latvia on Monday. During the night, fog is expected to develop in some eastern regions, reducing visibility, according to the Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre.
Winds will remain light. Overnight temperatures will range from +9°C to +14°C, although temperatures in southeastern Latvia and along the coast will fall to between +5°C and +8°C. During the day, temperatures will rise to between +16°C and +21°C.
On Tuesday and Wednesday, sunshine will alternate with clouds. From midday on Tuesday, rain is expected in western and central regions. Some areas may continue to experience rain during Wednesday night, while precipitation will become more widespread during the day.
Thunderstorms are also possible in certain locations.
With light winds prevailing, fog may form in some areas during the nights. Night-time temperatures will become warmer, generally ranging between +8°C and +13°C, while daytime temperatures will reach +20°C to +24°C. Along the Kurzeme coast, temperatures are expected to remain slightly cooler, between +15°C and +20°C.
Summer-like warmth will continue during the second half of the week. Light to moderate easterly winds are expected. However, the influence of a large cyclone will intensify, bringing more unsettled and rainy conditions across the country.
